Univar Solutions, a leading global solutions provider of specialty ingredients and chemicals, has announced an exclusive distribution agreement with Extractos Naturales Gelymar S.A. Gelymar specializes in producing and commercializing textural solutions for the personal care industry. 
 
This agreement is for the distribution of Gelymar’s Gely Blue portfolio and operates in the United States and Canada. Its builds on the companies’ existing partnerships in the food and pharmaceutical markets, shifting focus towards accelerating sustainability in the beauty industry.

The Gely Blue portfolio is based on carrageenan extracted from seaweed located in Chile. Six carrageenan ingredients stability, viscosity and particle suspension in cosmetic application. 
 
Peterson added, “The Gely Blue cosmetic carrageenan line is a natural, multi-functional solution, which will help our customers formulate on-trend products with unique textures across beauty applications.”
 
Gely Blue can be found in lotions, creams, serums, gels, color cosmetics, lip care, hair care toothpaste and others.
